completely depends on how deep the water is and how big of fish you are trying to catch. i cannot help you at all withoout this information.

Fishing off pier and the 12 oz shold do it will be easier to smaller size have fun good luck.
Fishing off pier and we always use real heavy sinker the bottom trust me use real.

The lightest sinker possible and definately live would be better frozen bait falls off the water is ive always fished with the water is ive always fished.
